“Let me light up the sky, light it up for you.” 

All of the firework photos below were taken during the 3rd Pyromusical Competition at the SM Mall of Asia last Feb. 18, 2012. The photos were some parts of the fireworks display from the United Kingdom’s show. The UK won the competition last year, and I think they did an absolutely amazing job again this year!

The sky was so colorful, the music was rather good. It was easier to shoot the UK’s display because they had longer intervals before another set of fireworks shot across the sky again, unlike Spain’s. Spain’s was actually more fun to watch than photograph, the music and fireworks were in sync and their song selections were superb! It was however, difficult to photograph because at that time, the wind was going wild, plus they keep firing the fireworks like crazy! It was a little difficult to keep changing the camera’s settings, so I missed quite a few moments. I’ll post some photos from Spain’s show in the next few days. 

I loved both of the countries’ shows, both were wonderful in their own unique way. I might just go to another show in March. I just hope I have some free time then. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures! I’m really happy with them, I expected less from myself since it would be my first time to really photograph fireworks.
